Belle Haven Alternate Plan Open spaces, fresh air, a family environment, immediate access to the Potomac River - This is Belle Haven Marina.

The marina, located just south of Old Town Alexandria on the George Washington Parkway, belongs to the people of the United States and is an asset worth protecting. It is the only facility in the Washington, D.C. area that combines sail, power, canoeing and kayaking with the largest full time sailing school and boat rental operation in the mid Atlantic region.

Friends of Belle Haven Marina is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect concerns of the Potomac River, to promote boater education and to support recreational activities of public marina facilities. Friends of Belle Haven Marina is also dedicated to the preservation of public access to the Potomac and to educating boaters' and the general public about this historical river and it's eco-system, and to the recreational opportunities it provides to the Washington, D.C. Area.

We are committed to the survival of Belle Haven Marina, a valued community resource. Friends of Belle Haven Marina is working with local governments, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the National Park Service to ensure that Belle Haven remains open and affordable to the general public.

We need your support to ensure that Belle Haven Marina's facilities remain open and available to our community.

Contact your elected officials and the National Park Service and express your will.
