As you know, the Marina is an affordable boating facility available to the general public. Although the Marina is located in Fairfax County, it has served Alexandria residents, along with many other citizens, for fifty years. It is a valuable asset to residents of Northern Virginia in terms of the recreational and educational programs it offers. The Marina should be renovated and preserved so that native plants and wildlife are protected, while it can continue to serve a limited number motorboats and non-motorized craft.
