CLOTHING AND SHOES
Dressing in layers no matter the time of year will keep you most comfortable. In spring and fall, a windbreaker is ideal as it is always cooler on the water. In the summer, wear light colors, apply sunscreen, and drink plenty of water.
While nonskid boat shoes are ideal, any rubber soled shoe (including tennis shoes) will provide safe footing. Sandals and flip flops do not provide adequate foot protection.
FOOD AND DRINKS
Vending machines outside the marina office sell soda, water, and juices. You can bring a picnic and snacks with you, or there are a variety of quick-serve restaurants within a few minutes of the marina. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted on rental or lesson vessels.
Picnic tables are available for public use. Please use the marked trash and recycling receptacles for refuse, and leave no trace!
Ice and bait can be purchased in the marina office.
There are two National Park Service Comfort Stations located in the park. The first is a short walk from the marina office, and the second is located near the picnic area parking lot. Both offer drinking water fountains.
