The National Park Service recently announced the award of a 10-year concessions contract for Belle Haven Marina. The Service's press release can be found here.

Belle Haven Marina Inc. will maintain the laid-back, easy-going vibe for which the marina is known, but with a cleaned-up, more streamlined appearance. Beautification and clean-up of the marina began in 2020 and will continue into 2021.

Visitors can look forward to several improvement projects over the duration of the 10-year contract, including refurbished docks, piers, and ramps; converting the back channel area for use by non-motorized vessels; new picnic areas; updated marina-users' restrooms; an expanded rental fleet including nearly silent electric pontoon boats; and new office and classroom space. Improvements will be made with the environment and the marina's proximity to Dyke Marsh Nature Preserve in mind.
